At Spellbinder Books, we’re very excited that Sherman Alexie is visiting our community! In the course of researching his published work, we came across many items that are out of print; or in some cases, that were never offered for sale. We’ve obtained a few of these items and due to their collectibility, are offering them in a silent auction fundraiser rather than just for sale. Read on to find out more about the silent auction items, the beneficiary organization, and the bidding process.

WüNüT (Stand Up)
Encouraging the youth of our community to learn and demonstrate knowledge of self and leadership through education, experience and creative pursuits.
Originating out of serious concerns in the community, WüNüT exists as a symbol of unity and community action to address needs of native youth. We strive to lead by example, while empowering youth to take control of their education and to see learning as a life-long process, not something restricted to the realm of traditional schooling. While not exclusive to Natives, WüNüT is firmly rooted in the tribal community and guided by indigenous values. For more information on Wunut, visit www.wunut.blogspot.com, or “friend” Wunut Standup on Facebook!
